We fell in love with the Dell laptop little review of this roundup. It came stock with Vista Business installed, but even this did little to curb our enthusiasm for the Red small wonder.
Part of Dell's XPS line and more than one Mobile midrange than anything else, test results were impressive enough to be almost shocking. Sweeping the board with SuperPi, the first seems appropriate place for the Ferrari-red unit.
Although it ranked second in the race 3DMark, it still a decent score for a laptop that is seemingly designed more for business than gaming. The Dell picked up the false signal from a Wi-Fi hotspot nearby and started to install updates while everyone was cursing the delay of articles this month.
From startup speed up sustainable blindness, so simple, laptop bag, it is very unlikely that the XPS has left. There are three integrated USB, HDMI inputs, and a Firewire card memory reader grouped around the chassis. The 2.0-megapixel webcam and microphone are ideal for those on-the-go meetings for a little more security, a biometric scanner has been thrown in to keep this information in connection a little tighter. The fact that there is less lag in the startup Vista Business on this machine than on our desktop PC with XP is also a huge selling point.
Bluetooth has not been left out in cold and there are some optional extras if you're willing to spend money on them. A TV tuner card, Blu Ray or SSDs are just delicious such. Shell out for some of them can push your laptop in one way or the other, the extension of business multimedia powerhouse to rig games. The choices are there.
The only gripe we have with the 1530s is the life of the battery and DVD player. The battery life is always a problem on a laptop and reduce resource use extends uptime dramatically but it does not work as well. Looking at the drive slot, it fits the aesthetic for the XPS extremely well but anyway, we simply prefer the stability of a tray loading drive when you use a laptop.
Make no mistake not, the Dell XPS 1530, is apparently all about business. But it also works well as a multimedia platform or portable video game. It may not run Crysis, but you have no business running as a notebook at work anyway.
