If you're in the market for a Nikon digital camera, the choices and options can be somewhat confusing, so here's a good place to start. In this article we will discuss the Nikon Coolpix range. Basically, the Nikon Coolpix range can be divided into three main categories, each with their own price range. We first examine the "P" series, where "P" stands for "Performance". Then we have the "S" – where "S" means "Style". If you are looking for a camera with a visual appeal, but who knows yet some performance edge, then this is where to go. You get a lower megapixel resolution – from 6 to 7 megapixels, but some models can up to 10x zoom. Not the same versatility and functionality as your "P" series, but the price reflects the fact that, around $ 250 – $ 350, is generally zoom.
Finally, we have what we might call the "learner" or "L" series cameras. They are much cheaper at around $ 120 – $ 250 so if it's a business you are looking for, but still want ease of use and quality, then the series "L" is probably for you. Price differences are usually to do with the millions of pixels and the size of the LCD.
One of the preferred characteristics desired in any modern camera is its zoom quality. Being able to photograph at a distance can be a great advantage. We are not talking about just the "number of times' here, but the sharpness of focus and image quality when the zoom is at maximum while playing. The Nikon Coolpix range has a superior image quality, not only in terms of sharpness, but color and exposure.

In the end, the Nikon Coolpix range of cameras is not one of the most popular on the market without any reason. For all the popular features that you love, the price you pay is a good value.
